Comment: We just bought a house that was built in the early 70's. The basement is finished but I want to get rid of the paneling and carpet and re-insulate and put in a proper vapor barrier and flooring. I am going to be apportioning a section of the area to be a wood shop which will also need subfloor and flooring. The main area is approximately 40' x 24' with stair and connecting hallway. there are 3 rooms along the hall. My main concern is finishing the shop area as I need to vacate the rental space my shop currently occupies. The shop area needs minimal functional "finish level".
