Why should I NOT use drywall to finish
my waterproofed basement?

Even mold resistant drywall has no long-lasting warranty in general, and no warranty whatsoever to survive basement floods and water accidents. In addition, when wet, drywall is known to break into harmful chemicals that are released in the air and water.
