This customer was having issues with water leaking into his basement from the basement window. He opted to replace his old leaky window with a double-pane, insulated EverLast Slider window. We added a WellDuct window well drainage system to transport any incoming water to the interior drainage system and we replaced his old window well with a SunHouse basement window enclosure. This enclosure comes with a clear plastic cover to keep out pests, rain, snow and debris.
For this job we installed a Triple Safe SumpPump with UltraSump Batter Backup System and a SaniDry Dehumidifier.
Customer was putting their home up for sale, but knew as long as they had a wet basment, it would be hard to get an offer on the house and reached out to us for help.
For this basement waterproofing job, we installed a Cleanspace Vapor Barrier and waterguard along the leaking wall, and tied this into his current sump pump.
This home had water damaged and moldy carpet in the basement. We took it out and installed waterproof wood look flooring designed for damp areas like basements. Regular flooring will not do well in basements because the concrete floor is porous and lets moisture through. When you cover it with carpet or other types of flooring, you can trap the air and create moisture. Wood-look flooring looks just like wood even though it is made of vinyl. So there is no way that the new flooring can be damaged by water.
