The WaterGuard® basement waterproofing system from Basement Systems is an innovative interior basement drainage system designed to effectively solve your basement water problems. Unlike conventional French drains that are installed outside the foundation or alongside the footing, WaterGuard drainage piping is installed inside the basement and won't clog with silt or plant roots. WaterGuard effectively captures wall and floor seepage before it reaches your basement floor. Water enters the system via inlet holes and flows through the drainage pipe to your sump pump.
Homeowners prefer WaterGuard's discreet design. The drainage channel is hidden beneath a layer of concrete. Only the top edge of the wall flange is visible, so you'll hardly know it's there.
As a baseboard drainage system, DryTrak® installs above the floor and along the inside perimeter of the basement.
If you have a monolithic foundation, meaning that your floor and footing were poured as one piece, this is the only drainage system that's appropriate. DryTrak® is also perfect for other applications when jackhammering the floor is not an option-- in basements with radiant heat, for example.
The home owner also had concerns with their block foundation bowing inward. As forces of nature, such as moisture and frost, interact with the soil around your home, the soil expands. That expansion results in constant inward force on your foundation wall until it can no longer support the pressure, causing cracking, bowing, and tipping. This is when we recommend the use of CarbonArmor, which will immediately stabilize your foundation walls and permanently protect against any further inward movement.
