Wanting to completely remodel the cabin to turn it into a year round home, the homeowners trusted DBS to help find a long-lasting, effective solution for their cabin One of our design specialists assisted the homeowners in a free, no-obligation estimate. After completing a careful inspection, they recommended the owner have TerraBlock™ insulation and SprayFoam installed to fix the insulation problems the home was facing.

One of our foreman led the team in this installation. They began by installing TerraBlock™ bottom crawlspace insulation to stop any heating and moisture issues coming from the floor of the crawlspace. Then they used DES SprayFoam insulation to coat the walls of the crawlspace to avoid any airflow sneaking into the area. Finally, the team used CleanSpace for a clean finish and to allow the space to be used as a safe, dry storage area. With these solutions, this crawlspace is now clean, warm, and ready for use if needed.

A DBS Design Specialist did a thorough inspection of the home and presented a solution for the foundation issues. It was determined that a CarbonArmor® Wall Reinforcing System, would be installed to support the sliding foundation blocks, as well as PowerBrace™ support beams. 

The DBS Foreman and production crew installed 8 PowerBrace™ beams in total and 4 CarbonArmor® wall straps.

DBS Design Specialist, Henrik Makitalo, went to the home and provided a free, no-obligation estimate for the work. After inspecting the basement Henrik found structural cracks that allowed water to enter this home. To permanently solve the problem a WaterGuard® subfloor french drainage system, CleanSpace® waterproofing vapor barrier, and GeoLock™ wall anchors were recommended. This home was repaired by DBS Foremen Nick Burley and Zach Royer with their production crew.

These homeowners from Grand Rapids, MN reached out to DBS for help keeping their basement healthy, safe, and more comfortable. They had been experiencing issues with unwanted moisture, musty odors, and mold in their basement when they called. 

DBS Design Specialist,  Henrik Makitalo went to the home and provided a free, no-obligation estimate for the work. After inspecting the property, Henrik diagnosed a solution to keep moisture out of this basement for good. Foreman Joe Harris and his production crew worked hard to install a CleanSpace® waterproof barrier around the perimeter of the basement. This barrier collects water and will drain into our WaterGuard® french drain system, which empties through a sump pump. This system will not need to be cleaned or emptied!

This basement is now dry and can be used for storage. Each of the products installed has a nationally-backed warranty that can be transferred to a new owner.
