These new homeowners in Maplewood, MN wanted to address their home's instability issues. The home needed extra support, so the owners trusted DBS to help.

Design Specialist Henrik Makitalo assisted the homeowners in a free, no-obligation estimate to find the best solution for the home. After a careful inspection, it was decided that helical piers would be the best option.

A DBS Design Specialist led the installation of this project with help from a team. Together, the team used hydraulic pressure to drive the pier into the ground until it reached stable soil. The pressure then pushes against this stable soil and lifts the structure to provide the needed support.

These homeowners can now relax knowing their new home is safe and stable. 

This homeowner contacted DBS after having piers installed earlier this year, expressing concern about further outward bowing of the wall. When our Design Specialist went out to the property, they recommended placing 5 GeoLocks® in the ground outside of the sinking wall to help stabilize the wall by providing GeoLocks® are specifically designed ground stabilization systems engineered to enhance the stability of structures, particularly in areas prone to soil movement or subsidence. By strategically placing five GeoLocks® around the sinking wall perimeter, the structural integrity can be significantly improved. These GeoLocks® act as anchors, penetrating deep into the ground to create a secure foundation, effectively counteracting any potential forces that may cause the wall to shift or sink further.

This homeowner in Saint Paul, MN became concerned when they noticed sagging floors in their home. Knowing its cause is settlement sinking and a lack of stable support beams, they wanted to find a solution.

A DBS Foreman led the installation of this project. The team installed 2 SmartJack® Systems in order to evenly distribute the weight of the structure. These jacks are secured using steel footing. The jacks can be adjusted in order to raise the floor above back into its original position.

This home in White Bear Lake, MN was leaking water in one particular part of the basement. Homeowners had issues with water making its way into the basement in large amounts, especially in the spring while the family was traveling. Wanting to put the anxiety to rest and come up with a permanent solution, they contacted DBS.

Sales Manager Royce Bunn was the Design Specialist for this project and visited the home to provide a free, no-obligation estimate for the work. It was determined that an insulating-waterproofing system would need to be installed.

DBS Foreman Zach Royer and crew excavated soil around the base of the home's front entry and added a SentrySeal® membrane to seal off any cracks in the foundation from the outside. The crew also installed SilverGlo™ insulation to further protect the home's foundation.

The homeowners were happy with the work done and now have heavy-duty insulation and support for their basement.
