A homeowner in Westfield, New Jersey had high humidity and moisture in their crawl space and needed it encapsulated and contacted Quality 1st for a solution. Our System Design Specialist inspected the crawl space and recommended that it be encapsulated. First, drainage matting was installed on the crawl space floor to make sure no water gets trapped underneath the liner. The matting has raised dimples to make sure this does not happen and direct the water to the sump pump. CleanSpace vapor barrier liner was installed on the crawl space walls and floors to make sure no water vapor or humidity passes through. CleanSpace will ensure that the crawl space stays dry and healthy. To filter the crawl space air and keep it clean, the SaniDry Sedona is an efficient, high-performance dehumidifier that is small enough to fit into small crawl spaces. The Sedona will prevent any mold or mildew growth in the crawl space. The homeowners were pleased with the transformation of their crawl space.   

Preventing cool or damp air from seeping into the crawl space, Design Specialist J.C.Gibriano proposed the rim joists be sealed and insulated for this customer in Westfield. Additionally, insulation on the walls and floor would help properly encapsulate the area to keep the space isolated from the earth. Foreman Esau Aquino and his crew installed the RimTight Rim Joist spray foam insulation as well as the SilverGlo Insulation Panels on the walls and CleanSpace Crawl Space vapor barrier.  

The crawlspace under our customer's home in Westfield was not doing a good job of holding up the floors above. They were uneven and sagging, causing a real problem for the homeowner.  Design specialist Jay Hugee recommended SmartJack and supplemental beams to lift and strengthen the floors above.  Once Juan and his crew finished the work the home was back to stable and level.

The access to our customer's crawl space in Westfield, NJ was small and getting rusty.  It also did not keep out water or animals. Design specialist Jay Hugee recommended the Turtl Crawlspace Access Door.  Juan and his crew did the install and now getting in as well as keeping water and animals out has never been easier.

To stop water, pests and unwanted drafts from entering through the basement windows, our crew installed SunHouse Window Wells. This will allow more natural light into the basement, brightening up the space all while protecting the space from the nasty outside environment that could cause dampness and mold.
