Problem
Our client from Becancour, recently contacted us after noticing issues with water infiltration in the crawlspace. It showed evident signs of moisture. It was crucial to find a solution to prevent the risk of foundation settling.
Solution
With our client's authorization, our team of workers began by removing the mold stains. Next, we installed the CleanSpace system, consisting of a specially designed matting to prevent moisture and infiltrations. To complete our work, we installed a drainage system to effectively channel any accumulated water towards a sump pump system.
The moisture and mold issues were effectively resolved, thus creating a healthier indoor environment. Additionally, the risk of structural damage related to moisture was significantly reduced.
Problem
We received a call from Mr. Danny regarding complications with his crawlspace. Our specialist, Alain, visited Mr. Danny at his home in Wickham for a free inspection and estimation. The signs of problems were obvious within the crawlspace: An unpleasant smell, moldy walls, and a constant sense of humidity. Alain pointed out the importance of taking prompt action to prevent structural damage to the foundation, which would require more delicate and costly work.
Solution
Our team of workers began the renovation work. They encapsulated the crawlspace using our excellent CleanSpace system. This system includes:
- A drainage membrane that improves water drainage. The honeycomb surface helps transport water to the perimeter drainage. Additionally, this drainage matting softens the soil and increases the durability of the encapsulation system.
- A vapor barrier that protects the crawlspace against condensation, which occurs when warm air comes into contact with cool surfaces. The crawlspace vapor barrier also prevents groundwater infiltration from evaporating into the air.
Furthermore, we installed our high-performance SaniDry™ dehumidifier, which automatically maintains the ideal humidity level. Controlling the crawlspace's humidity helps prevent mold growth, wood rot, and pest infestations.
Problem
Mr. Damien, who lives in Granby QC, had concerns regarding his crawlspace. Its floor was still dirt, and it was not waterproofed, causing moisture problems in his home. After filling out the free estimation form on our website, we quickly scheduled an appointment for a specialist to come and inspect his crawlspace. Our specialist Nickolas went to Granby to conduct the inspection. He deduced that the best plan would be to encapsulate the crawlspace to prevent moisture from entering and deteriorating the atmosphere in his home.
Solution
Our team of workers went to Mr. Damien's residence. They first laid down the CleanSpace crawlspace drainage membrane on the entire crawlspace floor. This drainage system is designed to collect water from the crawlspace floor and direct it towards the SmartDrain. The WaterWatch alarm, which is part of this drain, could help identify potential plumbing leaks. They then installed a layer of the CleanSpace vapor barrier over the drainage membrane. This product was created as a super durable plastic sheet that will permanently prevent moisture, outside air, and pests from entering the crawlspace.
Our client can now enjoy living inside his home without the need to worry about the bad consequences of an unencapsulated crawlspace. Another job well done by our team at Basement Systems Quebec.
A dirty and wet crawl space affects your entire home! As the air of a house moves from below to above, it is necessary to treat the problem at its source ... the crawl space. Encapsulating the area is a good thing for your home and your health! That's what our client in Gatineau is doing. Our specialist therefore recommended the best encapsulation products: CleanSpace, Delta MS, TerraBlock, SmartSump and SaniDry Sedona.
The residents of this house in Gatineau suffered from a very high level of humidity, caused by a non-isolated crawl space.
They have also noticed that the floor was sagging which caused them a deep concern.
As you can see in this picture, we have totally encapsulated the crawl space and the foundation.
