Our client Mr. Michael believed he was protected against possible water infiltration, since he had purchased a house with a pump already installed. He had done his homework well, however, he still found himself having a fairly high humidity percentage in his basement. He began to wonder if the pump he had was functional.

Our specialist went to do a free inspection, and came to the conclusion that the existing pump system needed to be replaced. A homeowner in Saint-Telesphore, Quebec, contacted us due to issues with a cold and damp basement. Upon inspection, our specialist identified the cause as water infiltration resulting from the bad performance of the existing drainage system. This excess moisture, combined with the cold temperature in the basement, was leading to increased  higher energy costs, as HVAC systems were operating more than usual.
