Here, the problem was obvious from the very first rains: water seeping in at the base of the walls, a floor that was often damp, and a lingering odor throughout the basement. Over time, the moisture also began to leave visible marks, making the space unpleasant and difficult to use.
The solution was designed to manage water directly at the source. A WaterGuard system was installed along the foundation to intercept water before it spreads into the basement. The entire system is connected to a SuperSump sump pump, which ensures continuous and efficient drainage to the outside.
Today, the space is completely dry and much healthier. A reliable solution that prevents water accumulation, controls humidity, and protects the basement in the long term.
There was a very high level of humidity in this basement in Sutton. The problem with stone walls is that they are more conducive to water infiltration, as there are many cracks and spaces between the stones which allow water, humidity and cold to enter the basement.
To remedy this situation, we installed our patented TripleSafe sump pump system which removes water from the ground. It is our most efficient system and is equipped with 3 pumps; a main pump, an alternative and a battery. Next, we installed our patented WaterGuard interior drainage system. In this way the water which passes through the wall or which comes from the ground is directed directly towards the TripleSafe pump which will expel it outside the house. Finally, we insulated the walls with our superior Foamax insulation which gives a clear and clean appearance to the basement.
In Notre-Dame-du-Mont-Carmel, QC, this crawl space was dealing with persistent moisture, musty odors, and poor air quality. The combination of a concrete and stone foundation, along with limited access, allowed humidity to build up, increasing the risk of mold and structural concerns. Without proper drainage or encapsulation, water accumulation and unstable support conditions were impacting both the home’s efficiency and overall health.
The crawl space is now fully transformed into a clean, dry, and healthy environment. With the installation of the CleanSpace encapsulation system, Drainage Matting, and a full perimeter drainage solution connected to the SmartSump system, water is effectively collected and discharged away from the home through the StarPipe system and LawnScape outlet. The IceGuard ensures reliable performance even during freezing conditions. The SaniDry Sedona maintains optimal humidity levels, while the SmartJack system reinforces structural stability. Finished with SilverGlo insulation, the space is now energy-efficient, protected, and built for long-term performance.
In Shawinigan, one homeowner had been living with the constant challenges of a damp and uncomfortable basement. Over time, excess humidity had led to mold growth and unpleasant odors, while small cracks in the foundation walls began allowing water to seep in during heavy rains. The space felt cold, clammy, and unsafe, far from the clean usable area the homeowner wanted it to be.
To bring the basement back to life, our team designed a complete waterproofing and stabilization plan. We installed the WaterGuard drainage system, which efficiently channels water away from the home to keep the area consistently dry. To improve insulation and moisture control, we applied SilverGlo wall panels, helping maintain a healthier environment and better energy efficiency. Finally, the PowerBrace system was added to reinforce the foundation walls, ensuring long-term structural stability.
With these upgrades, the basement was completely transformed into a clean, dry, and solid space and the homeowner can now use it with confidence for years to come.
We once received the following customer request: "I want to have an inspection of my basement, because I have a problem of water infiltration and an external drain is not a possibility for us". No problem, interior drains are our specialty! So we sent our basement waterproofing expert Andrew to do a complete assessment of this damaged basement and to recommend the most effective solution for dealing with this problem from the inside.
Then we sent a crew to start the installations. They started by sealing a crack with FlexiSpan. Next, they installed a 143-foot perimeter of WaterGuard interior drain and then added a CleanSpace vapor barrier membrane to the walls. Finally, to dehumidify and purify the air, we installed the SaniDry XP dehumidifier!
