These are before and after pictures of a church that had such a bad moisture problem in their crawlspace that rot destroyed the floor. The whole floor had to be removed, but before replacing it, the owners were smart enough to call Basement Systems USA to install a new CleanSpace system, complete with a SuperSump and SaniDry Dehumidifier so the new floor would be protected.
These are pictures of a typical city row home basement entry. The stairwells often flood because the drain is not big enough or not connected properly for an outlet. By installing proper drainage and a large TrenchDrain, the water can now be easily managed.
This Baltimore MD customer reached out to us because of water intrusion in her basement. Whenever the area would receive a hard rain, she would notice water coming in through the basement wall. Our inspector Jim Logue was sent to the house to evaluate and it was determined the best case of action would be to install our BrightWall Panels and also replace their current sump pump with our SuperSump Pump.
BrightWall is 100% waterproof and will never discolor or rot. BrightWall will stop water vapor from penetrating through your basement wall all while providing a bright clean, semi finished look. BrightWall is also durable and washable.
The SuperSump Pump includes a 1/3HP Zoeller cast iron pump with a mechanical float switch, a WaterWatch Alarm System that will sound off if water rises above point where pump should turn on, a SuperLiner that is heavy duty and has 96 holes that allow water to flow in directly from below the floor and it includes an Airtight Lid that keeps moisture from evaporating in to your basement, the lid also keeps items from falling in to the sump pit and keeps out bugs, odors and radon gases.
Customer would get water into the basement when the area would recive a heavy rain, could not pin point the location it would enter, would just see the aftermath and knew they needed the help of Basement Systems USA.
For this job we tracked down the area where the water was coming in and installed a ThermalDry Wall System which is a Vapor Barrier that has a radiant shield that reflects up to 97% of the heat back into your basement. We also installed Waterguard around the perimeter that will direct water getting in to the basement to the SuperSump Pump we installed as well, to get pumped out of the basement.
This customer reached out to us wanting to replace her current egress window and well due to both beginning to rust and then well was starting to pull away from the foundation. We came out and installed a 38x48 Casement In-swing window along with a 60x66 Egress Rockwell and Rockwell Cover. Our Rockwells are UV stable, rust and rot proof and can withstand extreme temperatures, they have also duplicated the look of real stone which has a nicer look than a solid colored plastic well. We finished this install up with a Wellduct system which connects to the current waterproofing system in play.
