Problem
Mrs. Laflamme had humidity problems in her crawl space. During her free inspection with our specialist, a humidity level of more than 64% was detected. The wooden support beams were rotting and the rim joists were sagging.
Solution
Encapsulate the crawl space with our CleanSpace drainage membrane and vapor barrier to block moisture from the earth floor. To reinforce the end joists, our experts installed our galvanized steel SmartJack pillars.
Our client Ms. Belley contacted us because her crawl space needed insulation. We installed a drainage membrane and completely encapsulated the crawl space with a CleanSpace vapor barrier membrane. Then we installed a new sump pump system specifically made for crawl spaces. And to properly insulate the crawl space from the cold outside, we have installed insulation panels on all the walls.
Mr. Giguère contacted us because he had several problems in his crawl space:
Water seepage
Humidity
Floor sag
One of our specialists went for a free inspection and found the perfect solution:
-Installation of a new sump pump
-Complete encapsulation of the crawl space
-Installation of structural supports for crawl spaces
Like most basements, this one had water intrusions at the entrances. The owner contacted us to find out what we could do to resolve this problem. Our waterproofing system is installed above the footing, under the concrete. It thus captures all the water that rises from the ground before it reaches the surface and directs it to the water pump that we have installed at the lowest point. In order to prevent moisture from escaping into the house, we also installed a vapor barrier membrane on the walls.
Before tackling this Venise-en-Québec home's cold floors, our customer's crawl space was a dusty haven of earth and rock, visibly lacking the proper insulation it needed, as you can see in the 'before' photo. After reaching out to Systèmes Sous-sol Québec, we ensured a transformation you’ll appreciate in the 'after' shot. We installed our CleanSpace technology, enveloping the area with a durable, energy-efficient membrane that not only warms up your floors but also promises a barrier against moisture and the harsh Quebec winters.
