Problem
Ms. Wilberg had a wet crawl space with water seepage. Moisture comes from the earthen floor, but also from the concrete foundation walls.
Solution
We installed a drainage membrane and a CleanSpace vapor barrier. The drainage membrane creates a drainage space below the Cleanspace to direct surface water to the customer's sump pump system. CleanSpace is a 20mm thick coating that acts as a vapor barrier. It insulates the floor of the house by blocking out moisture.
One of our clients in Montreal called to have her crawl space encapsulated.
The insulation helped solve many issues the client had and had improved the home comfort, healthfulness, energy efficiency and value of the house by insulating the upper floors from the cold, making the Crawl Space clean and letting her use the crawlspace as an additional storage room.
This picture shows the end result of our work, where you can see the big difference between an encapsulated and insulated Crawl Space, and many earth crawl spaces you can find in Quebec.
The insulation helped solve many issues the client had, such as insulating the upper floors from the cold, making the crawl space clean and letting him use the crawl space as an additional storage room.
Our client Caren had a mold problem that has been starting to grow.
In order to fix the problem, our specialist installed a Drainage Matting system to collect the water that escapes from the ground and accumulates in the crawl space. A CleanSpace to isolate the earth from the rest of the crawl space to reduce humidity. And to get the excess water out of the crawl space, a SuperSump was installed. It is a pump that is covered to protect the place from additional of moisture.
Thanks to these solutions, our client now enjoys a house protected against humidity and mold.
Before: A customer from Pointe St Charle had problems with cold floors and unpleasant odors from his crawl space. Actually, when the Crawl Space is not encapsulated, the cold, moist air from the floor spreads around the house, transferring all the bad odors that are unpleasant for locals. Mr. Lofranco then decided to deal with Basement Systems Quebec to solve all his problems.
After: Following the inspection of our specialist, the client decided to accept the suggestion to install: a CleanSpace membrane, SilverGlo insulation panels and a SuperSump pump system. This solution pleased this resident of Pointe St Charle because it has solved problems in a short time and for a reasonable investment.
Our customer is now very satisfied with the results of the installation made by our team.
