During the winter of 2021, a couple contacted Total Basement Finishing of WNY for help finishing their basement. They already had finished walls but they wanted an estimate for floors and having the ceiling painted. After meeting with our Design Specialist Todd, the couple chose to just have the ceiling painted for now and have their floors done later. Because this was such a small job we could fit it in this spring. The ceiling turned out fantastic and we hope that when they are ready to have their floors done that the couple will call on us at TBF of WNY.
A couple in Snyder, NY wanted to update their basement. It had been finished in the 1970s, and again in the 1990s, and it just wasn't what they wanted it to be now. They wanted to keep two of the finished wood-paneled walls, but to remove two of the current walls to open up the basement space. They met with our Design Specialist Todd and went through their ideas with him. He let them know that we could do most of the work that they wanted. Our Installation Crew demolished the two walls that the couple wanted to get rid of, installed new EverLast Wall Panels, new doors, an egress window, and a new Thermal Dry Elite Tile Floor.
In the summer of 2020 new homeowners in Amherst, NY contacted Total Basement Finishing for help with their basement. It was in good condition but it wasn't the way that they had been picturing it to use as a family room in their new home. They met with our Design Specialist Kenton and went over their ideas with him. Together they worked up a design for their basement that made a large family room, a laundry area, and a utility room.
When working on the design with Kenton they noticed that they wanted to make small but impactful changes in the design along with making new rooms. One of these changes was to add pole wraps around their basement support poles. These create a clean finish around the bare metal and look very inviting in a family space.

One of the areas in the basement that showed the most dramatic change was by the basement stairs. With a door leading to the laundry area, the change was almost dramatic.
This customer came to us with a completely unfinished basement. She was looking to make a recreation or gym area, enough space for a laundry room, and extra storage. This job included adding an interior zen wall, Milcreek flooring, and a painted ceiling.
