Basement Water Intrusion in Newburgh, New York

Before and after we installed our TripleSafe sump pump system.

Protecting a Basement from Floods in Newburgh, NY

A homeowner wanted to protect their basement from flooding so they contacted us to see how we could help them. When the rain came, the basement was having water issues. To give their basement the ultimate form of protection during rainstorms, our specialist proposed installing our TripleSafe Sump Pump System. This patented system features two cast iron Zoeller horsepower pumps that can discharge thousands of gallons of water from your home. It also features an UltraSump Battery Backup System that keeps your system running smoothly even in the event of a power outage or pump failure. On a fully charged battery, this device can discharge up to 11,500 gallons of water or more from your home. Our production crew installed this sump pump system by running the discharge line partially underground inside the basement and leading to the outside of the house. This would ensure any water coming into the basement would be transported out and away from the foundation. Once this system was installed, the homeowner knew they had a reliable system in place to prevent floods from happening in their basement.

Replacing a Failed Sump Pump with The TripleSafe Sump Pump in Lake Katrine, NY

This homeowner’s old sump pump system was a complete disaster. It was allowing water to leak out everywhere, and pool onto the basement floor. That’s when The Basement Transformer answered the call to come and help. We gave this homeowner our state of the art, TripleSafe Sump Pump System. It is designed to discharge thousands of gallons of water out and away from a home, so that a wet basement is no longer a concern. This sump pump system features both a primary and secondary pump, along with an UltraSump battery-powered back up pump in case of failure or a power outage occurs.

The primary pump is a Zoeller 1/3 horsepower sump pump that can discharge up to 2,220 gallons of water, while the secondary pump can get rid of up to 3,900 additional gallons of water. When fully charged, the battery powered back up pump can pump out 11,500 gallons of water or more!

With our TripleSafe Sump Pump System installed, this homeowner became fully equipped with 3 levels of protection against flooding and achieved having a dry basement.

Waterproofing a Basement in Lake Katrine, NY

A homeowner who had water coming into her basement after it heavily rained contacted us to see how we could help solve this problem. Although what she saw were a couple of small puddles, one puddle is one too many in any basement. To help prevent water from finding its way in, the crew installed our DryTrak System and our CleanSpace Wall System. The DryTrak System is an interior drainage system that collects the water coming in through the concrete block walls and transports the water to the sump pump we installed. The CleanSpace Wall System got installed behind this interior drainage system and helps funnel the water directly into the DryTrak itself. This wall system also serves as a vapor barrier and blocks humidity from coming through the basement walls. Once these systems were in place, the homeowner had a dry and healthy basement!

Preventing Floods with the TrenchDrain System in Ulster Park, NY

A homeowner in Ulster Park, NY needed us to help them prevent flooding from occurring in their basement. There was a doorway that led into their basement, and it was the perfect entryway for water to just waltz right in. To combat this issue, our production crew installed the TrenchDrain Grated Drain Pipe system. It is half a drainage pipe that features a grated opening right on top, which sits flush with the floor. It is meant for doorways such as the one found in this basement, and it works by collecting any water that passes over the drain and redirects it into your sump pump system. The lid is also removable, making it super convenient for removing any debris that may get inside and clog the system. Once our TrenchDain system was in place, this homeowner knew the possibility of their doorway allowing water to come into the basement would be eliminated.
